Our story begins long before D-Best Cigars was founded. It begins with a family, a journey, and a dream carried across generations.
Founded in Miami, Florida by Daniel Bezanilla, D-Best Cigars was inspired by the rich traditions of Cuban heritage, the enduring values of family, and the opportunities made possible through the American Dream.
Daniel was born and raised in Miami, a city shaped by generations of immigrants who arrived seeking freedom, opportunity, and a better future for their families. His parents were born in Cuba and came to the United States as children with Daniel’s grandparents during the 1960s. His great-grandparents later made Miami their home in 1970, joining thousands of Cuban families who helped build the vibrant community that exists today.
Growing up, Daniel spent countless hours listening to stories shared by his mother, grandparents, and great-grandparents about the country they left behind. Their stories were filled with memories of family traditions, hard work, perseverance, and hope.
Among those stories was the legacy of Daniel’s maternal great-grandfather, who owned a large farm in Cuba where he cultivated tropical fruit trees, harvested crops, and maintained beehives that produced fresh honey. The land represented dedication, craftsmanship, and pride—values that would later become part of the foundation of D-Best Cigars.
And, of course, there were always conversations about cigars.
Cigars were more than a product. They were part of family gatherings, celebrations, friendships, and cherished moments shared among generations. The aroma of a fine cigar often accompanied stories, laughter, and memories that connected the past with the present.
Those experiences left a lasting impression on Daniel and planted the seed for what would eventually become D-Best Cigars.
